Compare text overlap

Find shared phrases in two texts; does not certify plagiarism or AI authorship. No account required. Processing stays in your browser.

Private local processing. No external AI. These tools use sentence selection, word frequency and templates; review the output against the original.

PDF with selectable text, DOCX, UTF-8 TXT or Markdown. Up to 20 MB, 100 PDF pages and 60,000 characters. No OCR; scanned pages need text extraction first.

Compares only the two supplied texts, using normalized five-word sequences. Does not search the internet, detect paraphrases or determine AI authorship. Shared phrases are not proof of plagiarism. Maximum 10,000 words per text.

Use it to understand, then review

Extracted summaries retain source wording. Fill-in-the-blank questions hide a keyword in a source sentence; they do not verify facts. Concept diagrams show associations with the source, not proven causal links. Brainstorming uses prompts, not factual claims. Grouping and reading order may be imperfect in multi-column documents.

A practical example

Enter two texts sharing a five-word phrase. Normalized matches between those texts will be highlighted; internet sources are not searched.
